Meet Paul Maggay, 1st Topnotcher ng ISU-Cabagan College of Education

Topnotcher si John Paul Maggay sa Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

Pero sinong mag-aakalang ang first choice niyang course ay Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at hindi education?

Noong December 18, 2022, ayon sa Facebook post ng binata na tubong Tumauini, Isabela, “I always experience delays and down moments as I go through my endeavors in life.”

“In 2016, I tried to continue my obsession with science at Isabela State University-Cabagan by enrolling BSED Major in Science.”

I half-heartedly enrolled in another one.”

“After that, I tried to venture again and enrolled in my master’s degree. But I only finished two semesters because I needed to focus on the opportunity to teach at a private institution.”

Ani Paul, “Preparing for the examination tested my faith and determination to pass the board. I needed to balance it out: work and review days.”

“Sobrang hirap pagsabayin. Minsan naiiyak na lang ako habang nagbabasa kasi no choice ako but to deal with the situation.”

Nakadagdag sa pressure ang kanyang pagiging pessimistic.

“I always doubt my capabilities.

“Lalo na after the examination. I always say to other people na baka di ako makapasa. May thoughts akong ganyan during those times.”

I know na di ako perfect at alam kong may masasabi talaga sila.

“This victory will never come to reality without those people who supported, comforted, and encouraged me.”

“Sobra siyang nakatulong noong time na may tuition fee pang binabayaran for two years.
