Ken Chan ever grateful to Gloria Romero and Kuya Germs, here’s why

The pandemic made Ken Chan realize the importance of having a Plan B.

At the launch of WIDE International Film Productions on October 10, 2022, the Kapuso actor recounted his struggles and expressed his gratitude to his home network.

As thankful as he was to still have acting gigs, Ken realized he couldn’t just rely on his showbiz career.

He continued, “Pero you know, hindi puwedeng yun lang ang gawin mo. Hindi puwedeng naka-focus ka lang doon [acting].

“Pina-realize sa akin ng COVID-19 at ng pandemya na you really have to have a plan B and buti na lang po, nakinig ako sa mga mentors ko.

“Nakinig ako sa mga nakakatanda sa akin.”

He said, “Naalala ko sila Ms. Gloria Romero kapag nakakausap ko po sila, lagi po nilang sinasabi na, ‘Anak, kailangan mag-plan B ka,’ kasi yun ang ginawa nila.”

Ken also recalled the same advice from the late German Moreno, Sabi ni Kuya Germs sa amin, ‘Kailangan ka mag-Plan B.’

“So ano ba yung Plan B na sinasabi niya? Business.

“Sabi niya, ‘Kailangan mo mag gamble, kailangan mo mag business.

“So anong gagawin ko? Wala. So you have to have a Plan B.”

Ken said he felt privileged and grateful to have these lessons from the showbiz veterans.

He then encouraged everyone to find their own plan B, citing his new business as an example, “Ang Plan B ko ay Wide International at Aromagicare.

“Pero I’m just so blessed and thankful na nakita ko agad yung plan B na yun through Aromagicare, and through WIDE International.”

The Mano Po Legacy actor then thanked Aromagicare and WIDE International Film Productions for entrusting him with lead role of the company’s first-ever movie titled Papa Mascot.

And I’m just so happy, blessed, and thankful.”
