Glaiza de Castro overjoyed by surprise bridal shower hosted by Angelica Panganiban

In a few days, Glaiza de Castro and husband David Rainey will wed anew, and this time in the Philippines.

Glaiza had announced way back in September 2022 that they would have their Philippine wedding in January 2023.

She said then, “Ang exciting kasi, yung family ni David will be coming here sa Philippines.

“So, ang daming mga firsts. Pati yung mga pamangkin niya pupunta, mga friends niya.

“So it’s gonna be busy and at the same time exciting din kasi kami rin yung naghahanap ng logistics.”

SURPRISE BRIDAL SHOWER

While she was preoccupied preparing for her wedding, unknown to Gaiza, her friends Angelica Panganiban and Telay Robles were also busy planning a surprise bridal shower for her.

And when they sprang it on clueless Gaiza, her reaction was priceless.

On January 9, 2023, Glaiza shared on Instagram photos from the gathering.

She wrote, “Yung akala ko may viewing ng condo pero iba pala ang ma vu-view ko [emoji]

“Grabe yung pagmamahal na naramdaman ko kagabi kaya maraming salamat sa lahat ng bumubuo ng #HappypeCHA

“P.S. Yung red dress na ‘to ay dinala lang ni @iamangelicap para may pamalit ako bilang hindi man lang ako nakapag bihis ng akma sa okasyon, basa pa buhok ko at wala talaga akong ka ide ideya sa mga magaganap.”

They came, friends who wouldn’t miss Gaiza’s bridal shower—(L-R) Sheena Halili, Char Tinio, Isabel Oli-Prats, Maxene Magalona, and Angelica Panganiban.

As a close friend of Gaiza and host of the event, Angelica expressed on Instagram, “All for the bride [emoji] congratulations at talagang #HappyPeCha ka na amigah [emoji] masaya kaming makita kang masayang masaya. Lab you jan batah [heart emoji]

“At kay @telayrobles na punong abala sa event na ito [emoji] thank you mars! Nairaos natin. Akalain mo yun.”

Sheena also gave away a little inside joke when she congratulated Glaiza on Instagram for escaping the “sumpa.”
