Filipino designer Patrick Isorena laughs off “Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig” memes about “Woman On The Moon” NatCos of Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel

“Well, that’s true.

“But we wanted a showstopper, so ayun, pasan na niya yung daigdig! Ay, buwan pala!

“R’Bonney proved that no matter what the challenge is, kayang- kaya niya.

“And to those na naka-appreciate ng aking creation, salamat po! Pinoy pride po ang bitbit natin diyan!”

Ano ang reaksiyon niya sa opinyon ng mga tao na ang “Woman On The Moon” ang karapat-dapat magwaging Best in National Costume sa 71st Miss Universe?

“Masaya! Sobrang saya kung magkakaganoon nga po, but just being there in the Miss Universe stage together with some Filipino designers, dun pa lang po panalo na kami,” sagot ni Patrick.

Saad niya, “I’m overwhelmed. Mixed emotions po.

“I think it’s about time to show the world… the universe rather, that we Filipinos can be as great as other artists around the world.

“And if I am one of the reasons why, I am glad and will continue the legacy that we have started.”

MATERIALS USED IN R’BONNEY’S NATIONAL COSTUME

Kuwento ni Patrick, “Dapat ipadadala sa Amerika ang national costume via an international courier but it will cost US$5,000.

“So R’Bonney asked her parents to come here in the Philippines to get her national costume and gowns, a total of three big boxes!

“One for the moon, one for the stars, and one for the outfit and accessories.

“They flew via United Airlines, and I think the cost for oversized boxes is additional US$ 200, so make that times two.”
