Bea Alonzo treats Aeta neighbors to sumptuous dinner at her Zambales farm
Bea Alonzo has prepared a heartwarming surprise for her community in Iba, Zambales.
The Kapuso actress shows her fans how she prepared a merienda-dinner for their Aeta neighbors in a YouTube vlog dated January 14, 2023, that featured Beati Farmi, her Zambales farm.
Bea’s brother James Carlos and his wife Thalia Agbayani are seen helping the actress in preparing the dishes.

The dishes
In the video, Bea reveals they are preparing chicken hamonado, one of the recipes James created in culinary school.
Working in the farm’s new outdoor native kitchen, James explains, “Own way ko ito ng ano, hamonado.
“Nagluluto naman ako ng mga pork hamonado pero may chicken hamonado din kasi e.”
Bea adds, “Kung halimbawa gusto mo medyo mag cut down on your pork or beef, this is a good alternative.”
She also notes that the rice on the table is an essential part of their second dish.
James says, “Own way ko din ng bringhe ito. Arroz Valenciana or ‘bringhe.’ Ito ay nag-originate sa Pampanga. Kapampangan talaga yan.”
“Tsaka ano din ito, siyempre parang meron ding influence ng Spanish di ba, kasi galing kami ng Espanya. So ito yung Filipino version ng paella,” Bea concludes.
SALU-SALO WITH AETA NEIGHBORS
Their family bonding is made more meaningful by sharing the meal with their neighbors.
“This time we will also give back,” Bea says.
“So after cooking, nag-invite kami ng aming mga kapitbahay na Aetas. Hindi nila alam na nag-pe-prepare kami ng meal ngayon para sa kanila.
“And later on, we will, of course, share an early dinner with them, merienda-dinner with them. And nag-prepare din kami ng konting gifts para sa kanila.
“Nag-chi-chill muna sila dun. Andun si Mama, medyo kanina pa nila chinichika si Mama doon.”

“Ang sarap nito, I’m sure magugustuhan ito ng mga Aetas na bisita natin,” Bea comments while preparing to serve the meal.
“Parang feeling ko nga kailangan na nating dalhin itong mga food na ito para sa kanila.”
Bea also reveals that aside from preparing other food for their neighbors to enjoy, they have some future plans in the works for the community.
She continues, “Pero what’s nice is that nag plano na si Mama ng medical mission with the pamangkin of Dondon, para sa mga Aetas so it’s good.
“Although we also have other foods for them. Siyempre mga bata mahilig sa mga chicken, mga spaghetti, at iba-iba pa. So, let’s go.”
The vlog shows that after dinner, everyone gathered to enjoy a night of singing and dancing.
