Like other moms, Anne Curtis enjoys shopping online for her two-year-old daughter Dahlia Amelie.
On October 28, 2022, Anne shared some of her pikit-mata budol buys for Dahlia at the grand press launch of her latest brand endorsement: Lazada Philippines.
During the event held in Makati City, the It’s Showtime host said one of her top purchases for Dahlia was an inflatable bouncy castle with a mini pool.
She recalled, “When Dahlia started swimming, and takot pa ako ilagay siya sa malaking swimming pool, yung isa sa budol ko talaga was buying yung parang mga bouncy castle na may water on Lazada.
“That solved the problem right away for me. At least, [I was able to] let her go swimming.”
Another memorable purchase was a Princess Belle costume she bought the day before the Lazada grand press launch.
Anne said, “Kagagaling lang namin ng Disneyland and I wanted to buy this Belle, Princess Belle costume, so chineck-out ko.
“Kahit matagal ko nang sinasabi… hindi naman niya magagamit. But then now I see kasi she loves it.”

Anne admitted that even before the pandemic, she has been doing most of her shopping online because of the convenience.
Most of the things she usually “adds to cart” are cute accessories and other fashion items which she can use on her daily noontime show It’s Showtime.
She told the press, “Pre-pandemic, mahilig na po talaga ako mag-shop online. You know, before I became a mom, I have a love for fashion.
“I love dressing up. People would see that on my Instagram, on It’s Showtime.
“I think, you know, having a daily show pa, you always have to keep on coming up with new outfits.
“So before pa man, mahilig na talaga akong mag-update ng wardrobe ko. So that would mean shopping online.”
Just like everyone else, Anne’s online shopping activities doubled when the COVID-19 pandemic happened.
She explained, “When the pandemic happened kasi… when I became a mom, naging takot na ako to go outside even just to do the groceries.
“Talagang takot na takot ako. So, I ended up ordering everything online. For safety na rin at that time.”
She added, “Now, it’s just one click away and I think everyone now has formed that habit. Hahanapin muna online ‘tapos i-a-add to cart na kasi it’s so convenient nowadays.”
With her experience in online shopping, Anne has developed some strategies to spend less and save more.
Anne keeps track of all the discount vouchers she can use for her purchases.
She said, “I think because now they have these things called stackable vouchers or yung patong-patong vouchers.”
Anne also patiently waits for monthly “double-double” and payday sales.
The Kapamilya actress said, “Add to cart na muna, wait until the big days to check out.”
Anne also noted the importance of checking customer feedback.
“Sometimes, you find the exact item from different sellers, so what I like to do is to read the feedback.
“Tinitignan ko din yung mga pictures ng mga buyers, yung mga reviews para ma-confirm din natin kung okay si seller at maganda.”
Lastly, Anne feels more confident that she’s getting authentic products through the shopping app’s dedicated shopping space for international and local brands.
She said, “It helps din talaga sometimes if straight from LazMall para sure ka na [authentic] talaga.”
